Ordained Minister

Just What Does Being An Ordained Minister Mean?

Quite often when people think of an ordained minister officiating at a wedding they think of a male wearing a ceremonial robe or a traditional black suit and white clerical collar. But although I am an ordained minister authorized by the Baptist Convention of Ontario to perform weddings, as you can see, I am not male nor do I dress in traditional minister garb. But if you really want a male ordained minister I can point you in the right direction. There's a federal entity called Service Canada devoted to dispensing information about a wide range of services available in Canada. It publishes a list of officiants who are authorized to serve as officiants in Ontario, many are male ordained ministers, I've listed information on how to access this list on my website.

The fact that I am an ordained minister doesn't limit me to only performing religious weddings, nor does it mean they must be held in churches. I have married couples in their backyards, in parks, at the beach, on boats, in short anywhere they wanted to be married. And many who have wanted a quiet private ceremony with just two friends or relatives as witnesses have come to my comfortable home office.

What about you? Where have you always dreamed your wedding would be held? Do you have ideas about the wording of your vows? Do you want to include cultural traditions like hand binding, unity sands, unity candles, or knot tying in your ceremony. Come, let's talk and plan how we can bring that dream to life. After all, ordained doesn't mean ordinary. I am the ordained minister near me (you) who can make it happen.
