* in 6 months?
* in a year?
* longer than a year?
Answer:
As long as the requested time is not booked, I'm available. I schedule my work times around the most convenient times for my clients. Short notice bookings are almost always available, some with less than 24 hours notice. As long as you have your Ontario marriage license and 2 witnesses, you can proceed. I'm good to go 7 days per week - mornings, afternoons and evenings. What's best for you?
2. Where do you want your wedding?
* in my office?

city limits of Barrie, ie. a park, a private
home, a hall, or restaurant?
* beyond the City limits of Barrie?

* in a bus or on a boat?
* What is the exact address where the marriage ceremony will take place?
Answer:
I want to accommodate your needs and wants. Let me know where you'd like your wedding to be and I'll be there. Fees are determined by distance and travelling time to the venues, and locations, beyond the City of Barrie limits.
3. What specific time of the day do you need me?
* in the morning?
* in the afternoon?
* in the evening?

* Non-Religious Ceremonies
* Non Traditional Ceremonies

* tying the knot
* releasing wedding doves
* sharing wine ceremony
* tree planting ceremony

Answer:
This is your wedding. It
needs to be about you. What's important to you, what will make it extra special and memorable for you? Your ceremony should include whatever you want and need.
6. We have other people that we would like to honour or include in our wedding ceremony. Is that possible?
* our children?
* a relative?
* a friend?
* our dog (s) or other pets?
Answer:
You may have whom ever you'd like to participate in your ceremony. They can always be given a special and appropriate role. This is especially important to couples who have blended families. It's important to them to include them in this celebration of a new marriage and new family unit.
7. What about vows ?What sources can we use for our vows?
* Vows provided by the officiant?
* Vows found on the internet or from any other source?
* Vows that we write?
* Do both of our vows need to be the same?
* Can 1 of us write our own and the other use what you have?
Answer:
Where vows are concerned, the sky is the limit. You can get your vows from any source. You can write your own. You can use mine. Both of you can use different vows. It needs to be meaningful to you. It's about you!

Vows do not need to be memorized. They can be repeated after the officiant, or, you may choose to read them to each other.

Vows can be longer or shorter. Vows are personal and should reflect what you want to say to each other. Keep your unique personality style in mind, with respect to your vows. If you are anxious about speaking in public, keep them simple and short. this will reduce your stress levels or anxiety. Be yourself. Do what best suits your comfort zone where vows are concerned.

Vows are required under the Ontario Marriage Act in order to make your marriage legal. They are, in fact, a spoken contract to which both the bride and groom agree. Marriage vows are not optional. They are a legal requirement. The exchange of rings is NOT REQUIRED, but vows are mandatory.
8. Quotes for Officiant Fees? How are they determined?
* Do they include a rehearsal?
* Is there a set price?
* Are they determined by the number of people present?
* Does it make a difference if we only want something very simple?.
Answer:
Quotes never include a rehearsal. I'm always happy to facilitate at a rehearsal, if it is required, and if you want me to be there. However, there will be a separate and additional fee for this service.
Only civil ceremonies held in my office, or those which are held within the City limits of Barrie, are based on a flat rate. Wedding ceremonies held in my office are the most economical but they also come with very real restrictions as to who, and how many individuals, may be present at the ceremony. I make no exceptions to those restrictions because my office is in my private home.

If I come to you, anywhere within the City limits of Barrie, my fee is a little higher. However, if I come to you, there no restrictions as to how many adults or children you have in attendance.
Beyond the City limits of Barrie, fees cannot be set at a specific or flat rate. Those fees are based on a sliding scale which will vary. They are always determined by distance and drive time to the venue or location.
The number of guests present, or, whether the ceremony is simple or more complex, doesn't make any difference in the cost. The amount of work done by the officiant, regardless, is the same. Therefore, these factors have no bearing on the quote. The only variable is with respect to the location of the venue. It's about time and travel, distance to the venue location.
9. What needs to happen in order to proceed and book my services for your wedding? Moving forward with a booking.
* Will you hold a date for a few hours
or just a couple of days?
* Is a deposit required?
* How much is the deposit?
* What are the terms of payment?
* What are the payment methods?
* Will there be some kind of receipt or contract?
Answer:
IN ORDER TO BOOK A CEREMONY A DEPOSIT IS FIRST REQUIRED.

If the ceremony is more than 30 days away, the deposit is split - a minimum of 50% in order to proceed with the booking and, the balance of 50% is due 30 days before the wedding. Some couples prefer getting the fee out of the way by paying the whole fee upfront, either method is acceptable.

If the intended ceremony is booked within 30 days, or less, the entire amount is payable in order to reserve the date and time..
I'm not set up for debit or credit cards. Payments may be made by email bank transfer, cash or cheque.
After your payment, or deposit, is received, your ceremony date and time are secured. This is followed up by an email confirmation, which is your contract, complete with all the details, including the total officiant fee, the amount of the deposit paid, the balance and due date (if applicable). A summary statement, with reference to the marriage license and vows, is also included.
